Role

UX & Product Designer

Scope

End-to-end product concept. Mobile app.

Deliverables

IA, flows, UI system, UX writing, feature modules

Key differentiator

Workouts → points → redeemable rewards

The problem

Most fitness apps overwhelm users with workout catalogs.

Users don’t need more options — they need clarity on what to do today and a plan to stay consistent.

Fitness apps fail because they offer workouts, not plans.

Catalog → Decision fatigue → Drop-off

Product concept

FitPlay is a training system that:

  • suggests what to do today

  • builds an adaptable weekly/monthly plan

  • rewards real effort with redeemable points

Product concept cycle
Designing for motivation, not just workouts

FitPlay was designed to support different motivations, routines, and physical realities not a single “average user”.

Instead of one generic persona, four primary user types were mapped, each representing a distinct way people approach fitness.

Why multiple personas matter

Because personalization isn’t just workouts, it’s motivation style + schedule + environment + fairness.

FitPlay adapts training plans, challenges, and rewards without fragmenting the experience, ensuring users feel supported, not excluded.

Design strategy
Reduce decision fatigue

Give users one best next action instead of browsing.

Plan without pressure

Planning exists, but it’s optional and editable.

Effort becomes value

Points are earned through measurable activity and redeemed for real rewards.

Key Flows

Flow A

Onboarding → Personalization

Goal: collect only what’s needed to build trust + accuracy
Decision: progressive questions + optional fields

Output: a plan that feels personal on day 1

Flow B

Training Home → Planner → Workout completion

Goal: answer “what do I do now?” + “what’s next?”
Decision: Home is tactical, Planner is strategic
Outcome: user always leaves with a next step

Flow C

Points → Shop redemption

Goal: turn consistency into tangible value

What makes FitPlay different

Personalized planner-first training (not “workout browsing”)

Reward economy tied to measurable effort

Fair community challenges matched by profile

Business impact logic
Planner → increases retention
Rewards → increases consistency + conversion
Partner shop →
creates ecosystem value
(sponsor brands + marketing + marketplace sales comission)

Design decisions

Small choices that shaped the entire experience.

The recommended workout is always first

Eliminates decision fatigue and helps users start immediately.

The training planner is fully editable but never breaks

Gives users control while preserving balance and long-term structure.

Injury and limitation inputs are optional but respected everywhere

Builds trust and ensures safety without blocking onboarding.

Community features are challenge-based, not social feeds

Encourages motivation and fairness without comparison anxiety.

This project demonstrates how personalization, planning, and rewards can coexist without overwhelming the user.
